"Do Your Best And Then A Little More!"

A word from Stuart J. Mitchell,

President/CEO of PathStone...

Friends,

As we say goodbye to 2017, I want to take this opportunity to thank each of you for your support of our work throughout another challenging and yet very productive year. As I often point out, we view our connection to those we serve as a partnership and along with a juxtaposition of dreams, hard work and personal integrity we build a foundation for our interactions with families and communities as we help them achieve their goals.

With this issue of PathStone's Messenger, we are proud to share our 2016 Annual Report  which presents our organizational accomplishments from that year.  Our annual reports cover the most recent audited fiscal year of operations for PathStone and its affiliates.  The 2016 report covers the fiscal year of 10/1/2015-9/30/2016.  You will note that we have consolidated our multiple lines of business into five discrete focus areas that cover the wide breadth of opportunities we provide to our participants and the communities we serve.

Each year, staff and board members work tirelessly to create and operate programs that build upon the past years achievements to ensure practical and achievable outcomes for those who reach outside of themselves, to dream and to find strength, perseverance and the passion to follow their pathway to a full and purposeful life.  Please take the time to read what has been accomplished by working together to create short-term and long-term goals.

As 2018 unfolds, our work will be guided by the profound words of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. in his April 16, 1963 letter from the Birmingham Jail; "We are caught in an inescapable network of mutuality, tied to a single garment of destiny. Whatever affects one directly, affects all indirectly."  Together, over the past year, we have challenged and conquered complex obstacles, opened new vistas, leveraged resourceful connections and established mutually supportive relationships.  You will be an integral contributor to our continued success. Working together we will be a powerful network of mutuality committed to a just and equitable society that embraces diversity, inclusion and economic security for each individual and family we serve.

On behalf of  the PathStone family, I wish you a peaceful and harmonious new year.

Sincerely,

Stuart

Pour For Puerto Rico

PathStone Puerto Rico

Puerto Rico needs continued help due to Hurricane Maria and the PathStone Puerto Rico team is looking to continue their success despite the crisis...

Félix Torres Pérez was referred to PathStone by a current participant and was immediately interested in learning of all the services offered.  Félix was unemployed and looking to enhance his employment skills so he could find a reliable job that offered financial stability.  Félix learned of the different training opportunities that were available and became very enthusiastic about the Wind Turbine Service Technician Training and decided this was a route he wanted to take.

Félix successfully completed the Wind Turbine Service Technician Training and obtained

several certifications along the way.  Félix immediately began his job search as he now felt confident and well prepared to find employment in the industry.  Félix was interviewed by Becon Construction Company of Texas where he was contracted for the position of Tower Climber.  He finally obtained a full time job with financial stability!

Félix is extremely grateful to PathStone for the training he was offered and the support he received which helped him achieve his immediate and future goals. Over the years, Félix has continued to stay in touch with the PathStone staff and has shared that he bought his first home in the state of Texas, got married and is a happy father of a 3 year old son!  *Félix is temporarily working in Puerto Rico on the reparation of AT&T communication towers that were damaged by Hurricane Maria.*
