WHAT IS HEAT STRESS PREVENTION TRAINING MARATHON?
The Heat Stress Prevention Training Marathon is part of OSHA’s national Heat Stress Prevention Campaign (Water-Rest-Shade) to prevent heat related illnesses among outdoor workers.

AFOP’s Health & Safety Programs, organizes an annual Heat Stress Prevention Training Marathon, with the purpose to educate and provide tools to farmworkers about how to prevent heat related illnesses.


WHEN WILL THE MARATHON TAKE PLACE?
This training marathon will take place on June 16-20, 2014.


WHAT IS THE GOAL OF THE MARATHON?
In 2014 we hope to trainer over 800 farmworkers on how to prevent heat related illnesses, through interactive – low literacy – bilingual trainings.

OUTCOME

We exceeded our goal of 800 farmworkers trained on heat stress prevention!!!  Our trainers did an amazing job training a total of 1,466 farmworkers!
