WHAT IS HEAT STRESS PREVENTION TRAINING MARATHON?
heat stressThe Heat Stress Prevention Training Marathon is part of OSHA’s national Heat Stress Prevention Campaign (Water-Rest-Shade) to prevent heat related illnesses among outdoor workers.

AFOP’s Health & Safety Programs, organizes an annual Heat Stress Prevention Training Marathon, with the purpose to educate and provide tools to farmworkers about how to prevent heat related illnesses.


WHEN WILL THE MARATHON TAKE PLACE?
This training marathon will take place on July 17-23, 2016.


WHAT IS THE GOAL OF THE MARATHON?
In 2016 we expect to trainer over 1,000 farmworkers during this week on how to prevent heat related illnesses, through interactive – low literacy – bilingual trainings.

We exceeded our goal of 800 farmworkers trained on heat stress prevention!!!  Our trainers did an amazing job of training a total of 2,008 farmworkers!

We exceeded our goal of 800 farmworkers trained on heat stress prevention!!!  Our trainers did an amazing job of training a total of 1,466 farmworkers!
