Laura Najarro started working as the Health & Safety Programs Communications Coordinator for AFOP in January 2021. In her role, Laura manages and creates strategic campaigns on social media to raise awareness about the disparities farmworkers face and to develop bilingual educational content for the farmworker community. Administrates the H&S blog, develops press releases, and coordinates the Art and Essay contest for Children in the Fields Campaign. Overall, Laura’s job is to develop communications and educational campaigns, tools, and resources for the farmworker community, the general public, and create relationships with other like-minded organizations and AFOP’s members.
Her knowledge in designing and video editing makes it possible to create personalized branding and content for both programs and develop materials for digital and print, updating composition and design, and training and branding materials.
Laura is Salvadoran, with a background in administrating and marketing her own business in El Salvador, as well as, various commercial social media and branding projects for over 6 years. She has worked for several non-profit organizations providing interpretation and translation services working closely with Hispanic communities. She holds an Associate degree in Marketing and Communications from the UCA, University of El Salvador.
